Suddenly, our world turned upside down due to the Coronavirus. Everything is on lockdown and everyone is forced to cancel travel plans and stay at home. The whole change in sequence is affecting everyone and it is uncertain if how long this quarantine would exist.


It is not easy to adapt to a change of routine in our everyday life so drastically. Weekdays and weekends feel almost the same and you know you’ll probably end up bored.


But on the brighter side, you can use this time to rest, recharge and relax, and do things you’ve never had time to do.

Now is the right time to enhance your cooking skills. Try an easy recipe you can find on Instagram, Pinterest or YouTube.

Create a Bucket List

List down the things you have always wanted to try and the places you’ve been wanting to visit. You might not be able to travel at the moment, but you can make travel plans for your future trips.

Start A Side Hustle

While you are at home with more time on your hands, create another income stream. A side hustle can help you make additional income, and grant you the fulfillment that you may not have in other areas with one income stream.

Go On A Social Media Detox

Sometimes, social media can be toxic with all the bad news or fake news. Get rid of all people, pages, and videos that give you negativity.

Lately, playing online game relieves my stress. It’s fun and a best option to pass time.

Since malls and salons are closed, why not try pampering yourself at home.

Go through your email inbox and delete everything you don’t need. While you’re at it, unsubscribe from all those annoying email lists that you never even open anything from.

Catch Up On Sleep

Before, you were sleep deprived because of so many activities in your busy life, but now, you have the chance to catch on lost sleep.

Stay safe at home, have a positive mindset, and prepare for quarantine. Buy the things you need such as:

  • Water
  • Medications
  • Personal hygiene items
  • Sanitation and cleaning supplies
  • Pet supplies
  • Special needs supplies (for babies or elderly family members, for example)

  2. Great ideas. When we could travel, we would go up north to visit my mother and her boyfriend where the 4 of us would play Euchre every night. While we can’t visit them right now, we did find an online Euchre game with video chat included so that we can still all play together in the evenings. We’ve been having Euchre nights twice a week!
